More catch-up

Here's a Thinglink I prepared to use with my CAE students as a trigger for arguments they will need for writing an essay on the impact of communication technologies on our lives.

Catching up on the class I missed!

Using Movenote

Here's my first Movenote presentation. I'm planning to use it with my Teens 1 students for revising the language of physical descriptions. After watching the presentation, the students will be encouraged to produce their own descriptions to be shared on Padlet.

July 4th: More GOOGLE Apps: DRIVE

  • Enabled Labs in Gmail

  • July 4th
  • "Unsend an email"
  • Very user friendly
  • Very useful function
  • I'd recommend it to all those who, like me, are always in a hurry and have to send emails frequently

  • "Canned Responses"
  • Very user friendly
  • Very useful function
  • I'd recommend it especially to those who need to save time when sending  business emails providing information, and to teachers providing feedback on students' homework (You can customize the canned message, of course)

13 Hacks to Improve Your Google

I found these especially useful:

  • Wild Card
Sometimes a memory lapse leaves you searching for the right word. Instead of guessing, put an asterisk in the vacant spot and have the search engine figure it out for you. (Great for lyrics, idioms)

  • Search a Website
For a search you want specifically from a certain site, just type your term and then “site:” with the desired outlet.

  • Similar To
To encompass a wider definition than you’re currently searching for, add a “~” in front of the word, and Google will pull up results from similar terms as well.
